President’s Message

Most people in America today have no idea what it was once like to live in a land where the whimsy of the ruling class dictated the day-to-day survival of individuals.

In the 1700’s, a new nation was born. Gone were the rules by which the few governed. The era of inherited privilege and power was finished. The new land was colonized. An age of individual enlightenment was born.

A revolution of ideas took place. And through the leadership of our founding fathers, the thirteen original colonies became one nation through a system of laws based on a Bill of Rights.

No other nation on this planet empowers its citizens the enjoyment of clearly defined inalienable rights. All in America are afforded the protection and security of laws based on our Individual Bill of Rights.

Today in Santa Barbara, a symbolic massive Memorial American Flag clearly proclaims our nation’s founding principles. This Flag will be displayed on Flag Day, June 14th on the back wall of the Lobero Theater building at 33 East Canon Perdido Street. The historic Lobero Theater building provides a perfect canvas for this glorious symbol of freedom. We hope Santa Barbara locals and visitors will enjoy this display and be reminded of its meaning.
